Lead Us Reclaim, LLC - Bill & Tamy Moss, Augusta, Wisconsin
Lead Us Reclaim, LLC is a family owned and operated business. We contract with range owners to recover lead shot from Sportsmans Club Shooting Ranges. Lead Us Reclaim, LLC provides everything necessary to perform and complete the lead recovery work, transport and resale of the lead, as well as, restore the shooting range to its original state by dragging and leveling the range.
Our equipment mechanically removes the lead shot at outdoor ranges by scooping up the lead shot and top soil, sifting out the lead shot for reclaiming, and returning the soil back to its original state on the range.
In recent years attention has been focused on the environmental aspects of target shooting ranges. Lead ammunition has been coming under greater scrutiny where it resides in concentrated deposits, including trap and skeet, sporting clay, rifle and pistol ranges. Lead contamination of soil at ranges where shooting is over dry land is not necessarily a serious concern. But, problems could develop with the public’s perception of a problem.
Part of our service to range owners is to provide them with documentation on the lead reclaimed so it can be used to show they practice good environmental practices. Free estimates available.

Pepin & Pierce Counties, WI,
www.freshart.org 715-442-2419
The fresh warm air and new green life of spring call us to go out and enjoy! By the third weekend in May the trees are decidedly green with the bright color of new growth, and the trillium are blooming along the roadsides in western Wisconsin. It’s a perfect time for the 9th Annual Fresh Art Spring Studio Tour on country roads in Pierce and Pepin Counties, Wisconsin, which will be held on May 16, 17 and 18. There are 12 sites on the tour, at which painters, potters, metal smiths, sculptors, weavers and designers produce their wares. In honor of the spring, many studios also have a garden theme and many of the tour sites offer plants for sale as well as art.
The tour leads participants from village streets to rural roads that visitors may have never seen before, providing a delightful sense of discovery. The self-guided tour is clearly marked with road signs and will allow you to drive the back roads of one of the region’s most scenic areas: Lake Pepin and the Mississippi and Chippewa River Valleys.
A map of the area is on the brochure, which is available on request. (Call 715-442-2419 or visit our website at www.freshart.org). Brochures are also available at all participating studios, including the Accola Gallery in Durand, the Abode Gallery in Stockholm, The Lake Pepin Art and Design Center, BNOX and T.& C. Latané in Pepin,.
New to the tour this spring is Christine Foster, whose paintings and pastels of regional landscapes capture the feeling of this beautiful area. Also new is the participants’ show at the Lake Pepin Art and Design Center, in which works by all the artists on the tour will be displayed.
The artists on the tour are:
1. Watercolorist Jean Accola, at the Accola gallery in Durand, with native ferns and wildflowers.
2. Old Courthouse Museum, Durand, features release of limited edition print: Pepin Farm Apple Blossoms painting by the late Marge Mason.
3. Potter Diane Millner at her studio on Goatback Road, features Diane’s functional stoneware with guest artists Barbara Anderson’s terra cotta birdhouses and painter Michael J. Peters.
4. Smith Brothers Landing, Pepin, features metal work and an array of hostas and vining plants.
5. BNOX Gold and Iron, an eclectic gallery in Pepin representing over 130 artisans with photography by guest artist, Terry Turrentine.
6. Metalsmiths Tom and Catherine Latané at their studio in the village of Pepin. Tom will be working on floral ironwork inspired by doors at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
7. Lake Pepin Art & Design Center features a gallery show of artists on the tour.
8. The Abode Gallery in Stockholm features regional fine art and craft work, with guest artist, painter, Liz Williams.
