POETRY READING IN PEPIN

The Lake Pepin Art & Design Center in Pepin will host a poetry reading on Sunday March 4 at 3:00pm. The poets who will be reading were all members of a poetry class held at the Art & Design Center last fall, taught by local poet John Graber. Mr. Graber called the fourteen students in his class, “…the most talented and interesting people a teacher could ever want…” and the poetry reading will showcase some of their work.

Some of the poems written were published in a new journal, The Lake Pepin Review, which will be available at the poetry reading. Registration will be open for John Graber’s next poetry workshop, which will begin on March 19, 2007.

Refreshments will be served, and this event will offer an opportunity to learn more about the Lake Pepin Art & Design Center, which opened last year at 408 2 nd St. in Pepin. For more information about the poetry reading, contact Midge Bolt, 442-3048. The Lake Pepin Art & Design Center can be reached at 442-4442, info@pepinartdesign.org
