COURSE DESCRIPTION: This historic course and resort estate were originally established in the 1920s as an escape retreat for Chicago gangster Joe Saltis, a Chicago beer baron. It has been said he had his golf professional friends help him design it. Course is respected, challenging, and noted for its Scottish style flair of rolling hills and manicured, elevated greens. Framing the course are the majestic Chequamegon National Forest and Barker Lake. From many holes, golfers experience lake views and lake breezes. The clubhouse sits along the shore of Barker Lake. This is one of the original older courses in the area. SIGNATURE HOLE: On number 4 it's a 260yard carry to the fairway pond. The second shot is to an elevated green with water on the left side.

MOST UNIQUE HOLE/COURSE FEATURE: The most unique course feature is its original design layout. Built in the 1920's it has
many design elements of that era. HAZARDS: Woods, water, sand.
RENTALS: Clubs, pull carts, power carts, both with and without tops.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This prestigious and affordable Hayward Golf and Tennis Club is open for the public and is located in the heart of the resort community of Hayward, Wisconsin. The 18 hole, 6685 yard, par 72 course was established in 1924, and was architecturally redesigned in 1998. This mature course is outstanding in maintenance and manicure. With a slope of 125, four tee locations, 10 doglegs, 52 sand and or grass bunkers and four well-placed water hazards, the layout is challenging, yet fair. Hayward Golf and Tennis has been rated "one of the top One Hundred `best value' courses in America." It is a "Pace Aware" facility. COURSE DESCRIPTION: New course with upgraded amenities. Brand-new classic brick clubhouse, which imparts an atmosphere of warmth and elegance. Gorgeous landscaping includes a large rock pond with two fountains, a waterfall, a traffic island, classic flagstone walkways, manicured shrubs, and colorful flowers. This championship course features premier conditioning, manicured fairways, and perfect greens. UNIQUE HOLE: The par 5 hole number 14 plays at 470 yards from the white tees. After the first and second shots, two large landing areas await, with a marsh on the right and water on the left. The green is tucked up tight, slightly angled to the right. An accurate approach shot can earn a birdie.
SIGNATURE HOLE: Number 16 is a challenging 296-yard par 4. Despite the short distance, golfers need to clear two marshes just to stay in play; then, the natural island green is completely surrounded by water. HAZARDS: Many sand bunkers, trees, creeks, ponds.

Situated between two lakes, the course features shade trees and nature abounding which make it fun and casual. SIGNATURE HOLE: Number 7 has a green built into a hill. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed by nature for nature lovers, with glacial hills, lakes, and bogs, all surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest. Four tee positions. Hole 16 is an island green with virgin hemlock in center of green.
SIGNATURE HOLE: Eighteen signature holes, with number 13 the most picturesque. It is a 170-yard par 3 from an elevated tee to an elevated green. The hole is all carry over a woodland lake 40 feet below. The hole was pictured on the cover of Wisconsin Golf, 1995. Lakewoods received three-star rating in 1998 Golf Digest.
HAZARDS: Woods, sand, water, swamp, bogs.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The gently rolling course surrounds a virgin hemlock forest. River holes, numbers 7 and 8, are spectacular. Course is recognized for environmental awareness. Five tees and five lengths to accommodate all skill levels from champion to beginner, from long hitter to short. A family-operated "retreat" described and suggested by many distinguished golf publications and authorities. Wisconsin Golf Magazine (June 1998) describes Teal Wing as "One of the Upper Midwest's best backto-nature courses."
SIGNATURE HOLE: Number 15 has a peninsula green.
