Day Trip, Excursion or Local Art/Craft Journeys

So what's this all about?

Some people I met asked about what to do in the Eau Claire area. They looked at many of the fine local print magazines, but were interested in more than just the local highlights in Eau Claire. I decided to create a daytrip excursion or journey section on www.artistsnartisans.com which details half to full day trips browsing for various curious, artwork, crafts and much more.

The itinary is provided, but the individual or group has the option to go where they wish. Maps are provided as well as a brief description of each shop, museum, gallery or artist studio.

The first trips will originate from the Eau Claire area. As I gather more information and locations the number of trips will grow to include more areas of the state, more by region than my county. This is done, because access routes and roads don't generally stop at county lines, nor are cities located as such.

These day excursions will evolve into some interesting places to visit, people to meet and neat things to see and great scenery to view along the way. So take a trip, stop and see the sights of beautiful Wisconsin and enjoy a peaceful day away.

Included in each of these trips will be:

Local Lodging - motels, bed n breakfasts for those from out of town.

Places to eat as well - restaurants or short order locations.

Craft shops, art studios, art galleries, antique shops, museums and more.

Days, and hours of operation.
